What to expect at the Beverly Hills visit
The Beverly Hills endocrinology visit is a full history, not a lab review in a corridor. Dr. Cohan looks at the symptoms that brought you, the records you already have, and the conditions that change a hormone decision: breast cancer history or high-risk screening, bone density, pelvic symptoms, and any planned reconstruction.
Bloodwork can be arranged so the results are in the chart before you sit down, or drawn the same day if you are traveling and will still be in Los Angeles when they return. Imaging that another pillar needs, including mammography or a pelvic evaluation, can be sequenced into the same trip instead of a second flight.
Follow-up is part of the treatment. A new thyroid dose, a change in menopausal hormone therapy, or a diabetes medication is checked against how you actually feel and against the next set of labs. The note is visible to the breast, pelvic, and reconstructive physicians, so a recommendation made here does not surprise the surgeon down the hall.
